I'll share a couple of my favourite  Star Trek: Voyager  episodes

Before and After
 (season 3, episode 21)

Description

A life-extension treatment puts Kes out of temporal sync, allowing her to see the past and the future.

Year of Hell Part 1&2
 (season 4, episode 8&9)

Description

The Voyager tangles with the Krenim whose ultimate weapon-ship manipulates time to erase their enemies

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Why I love these episodes is becase they are both explore time travel,  which I love, in interesting ways
Before and After  is heavely character focoused (and I love character driven episodes) and shows Kes living her life life backwards jumping to ealier and ealier points in her life.
The year of hell has a single Krenim ship trying to completely wipe their enemies from  existence it'self in order to rebuild their empire when the Krenim ruled. It's a fascinating take on time travel and the butterfly effect, and  has great character moments both for the voyager crew and the crew of the Krenim ship.  I love that in the end we find the captin of the Krenim ship was so hell bent on changing history, not so much to restore the empire,  but to find a timeline in which his wife didn't die.
I'd also like to add a special mention to
'A Symmetry of Imperfection' Andromeda episode (season 4, episode 19) This is another Charater driven  and emotional episode that explores AI and emotions.
  Rommie the Ships Avator is cut off fom her Ship self (the core mainframe AI) when she is jugged by the core mainframe  to have become' too emotional'.  Of couse this happens when the ship is in danger  but that turns out to be more the B plot. The core story is emotional, and  revolves around  my favouite character  Rommie, it explores the emotional side AI's and how our memories make us who we are, plus the whole episode   is visually very pretty.
They are 2 great choices, and were on my short-list. Both individually great, but linking them together as you did makes so much sense.
